Criteria of
LEADER SW Drenthe
Projects should comply with the
following criteria.
With regard to all the projects that are submitted for financing
on the basis of the LEADER programme, the first aspect considered
is that of their effect on the natural landscape and the environment
and on the quality of life in the region.
Furthermore, for each project it should be shown that:
- the method followed is transferable.
- it does not support an individual person or company, excepting
any funds or projects of a highly innovative nature in the sectors
of care and agriculture, allocated specifically for this purpose.
- it fits within the priorities of the development vision for
the region as defined by the regional project group.
- it is of a relatively small-scale nature.
- the contribution requested from LEADER is in proportion to
the project's overall financial costs and any other contributions
from subsidies and/or funds.
- Furthermore, the amount requested should be in line with
the limitations of the LEADER budget.
- the effects of the project on the region are in proportion
to the contribution requested. The effects of the project should
be indicated quantitatively as far as possible.
- the effects of the project are of a long-term nature. This
means that they do not come to an end when the period for which
a LEADER contribution can be obtained finishes.
- the project complies with the selection criteria and exclusions
mentioned in the annex of decision 94/173/EEC concerning the
selection criteria for investment for the processing and market
of agricultural products, as well as the different points of
the common agricultural policy.
- the project generally contributes to the development of the
countryside and the reinforcement of the region's economic structure.
- the project involves activities that are currently not being
executed.
